Joey Chu is the Senior Manager of Events at APRU. She is responsible for organizing strategic events of APRU for members engagement including the Annual Presidents’ Meeting, Annual Senior International Leaders’ Meeting and Senior Administrators’ Meeting.
Prior to joining APRU, Joey headed the research administration at the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies. She managed the 3-year-long multidisciplinary Belt and Road Program and maintained research partnership with EY, World Bank and United Overseas Bank. Before this role, she served at the branding and events team of Public Affairs Office at the same institution and managed university branding projects such as the University 25th Anniversary Distinguished Lecture Series and the inaugural Times Higher Education Asia Summit.
Joey holds a MBA from the University of Illinois of Urbana-Champagne and a B.A in Language Studies and Corporate Communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
