APRU held a session on 21 February at the AIEA Conference 2017 on the evidence base for the impact of research universities on global issues. Entitled ‘The Dynamic Diversity of the Asia-Pacific’, the session facilitated a discussion on strategies for demonstrating universities contribution to society and the value of networks as a mechanism for doing this. A broader view of internationalization was argued for and the APRU Impact Report explained and debated. Prof Cindy Fan, UCLA, Prof Dennis Galvan, University of Oregon and Dr Christopher Tremewan, APRU Secretary General gave presentations at the session.
