Building Resilience Through Disaster Risk Reduction,
Response, Recovery & Reconstruction in the 2030 Agenda
The APRU Multi-hazards Symposium 2019 focuses on exploring the interrelationship between disasters and development at the local, national, and global levels as well as understanding how DRR can best be applied to the future sustainable development of society. The Symposium aims to explore the role of universities in delivering the objectives of the Sendai Framework for DRR and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for experts and academics to share and exchange advancement in research, technologies, and applications. Invited speakers are Mr. Walter Cotte Witingan from IFRC, Dr. H. Kit Miyamoto, CEO and President of Miyamoto International, Prof Rajib Shaw from Keio University, Prof Osamu Murao, and more to be confirmed soon.
